Parallel is an science fiction trading card game (TCG) that offers players full ownership of their cards and game items through NFTs. Developed by Parallel Studios within the decentralized ecosystem of the Echelon Prime Foundation, the game immerses players in a dystopian future where Earth has become uninhabitable due to a catastrophic event. Humanity fled to space, splitting into three factions on Mars, Europa, and the asteroid belt, only to return to Earth millennia later, each seeking to harness its newfound energy.
The game features five distinct factions: Earthen, Marcolian, Augencore, Kathari, and Shroud, each with its own unique history and characteristics. Gameplay combines traditional TCG mechanics with modern technology, revolving around collectible NFT cards representing these factions. Players compete using decks of these cards, earning rewards in PRIME tokens, the utility currency of the Echelon ecosystem.
Parallel offers various game modes, including one-on-one battles in The Ladder and deck-building progression in Sectors. The closed alpha testing phase began in February, allowing participants to provide feedback and test different game features.
