AnimeCoin has introduced a new game titled "Gacha Grab," in collaboration with Azuki and various partners, drawing inspiration from Japanese gachapon vending machines. This web-based game, launched by the AnimeCoin Foundation following the announcement of the AnimeChain project in March, invites players to spin a virtual dial to earn points and prizes. Players can obtain one of eight digital Gachapons, each offering different reward levels, with each spin costing 100 credits.

Gacha Grab is integrated with the Azuki NFT collection on Ethereum, allowing players to earn credits based on their ownership of Azuki, Elementals, or Beanz NFTs. Participants who engaged in the first Bonus Quest in March are eligible for a 100 bonus credits. Gachapon rarity is classified into three tiers: Esteemed, Grand, and Legend. Players can enhance their rewards by forming "squads" with multiple owned NFTs and "leveling up" their Azuki profile to increase their chances of obtaining rarer NFTs.

Starting April 6, the AnimeCoin Foundation implemented a 2x credit earn boost lasting for two weeks, with players able to track their Gacha Grab progress on the leaderboard. However, players should note that Gachapons earned from NFT credits are tied to the respective NFT and will transfer to the new owner if sold.

Azuki, launched in January 2022 by Chiru Labs based in Los Angeles, comprises 10,000 anime-themed NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain, with a current floor price of 4.9 ETH, approximately $14,550. AnimeChain, established in March by a consortium including the Arbitrum Foundation, Weeb3 Foundation, and Chiru Labs, aims to serve as a hub for anime-themed projects, leveraging Ethereum scaling technology from Arbitrum.
